The Counter Will Not Always Be The Same
Three women have been chosen. Three women who, each in their own way, carry the particular quality the shop requires. Not charm, exactly. Not warmth. Something older than both. The kind of presence that makes you feel you have been seen rather thoroughly, whether you wished to be or not.
Their names are Emma Kirrage, Kat McGarr, and Kate Webster.
Emma is the kind of woman who has been many things to many rooms, actor and dancer, working across film, television, immersive theatre and motion-capture for video games. Recent work includes Shapeshifter for Mariner Studios, Falcon Eyes for Ligatura Films, and Suspicion for AppleTV. She also writes and directs her own short films, and her piece CLICHÉ was selected for Lift-Off Global Network’s Hollywood First-Time Filmmakers Showcase. And Kate, well. She brings a wealth of stage experience from the National Theatre, the Young Vic, the Arcola, and Theatre Royal Haymarket, to acclaimed productions such as The Vagina Monologues and Edward Bond’s Lear at Sheffield Crucible.
Immersive Rumours once wrote: “Kate Webster has a commanding presence. Her performance of the show’s text is exceptional, ranking up there with some of the best we’ve ever seen in an immersive, site-specific show.”
The dates are set.
